Investigating the conditions in which women GPs thrive: a review of evidence

Enter the exhibition

Women GPs play a vital role in our NHS. Yet research shows they often face unique challenges that impact their ability to thrive at work.

From the types of appointments they are more likely to take on, to the way patient interactions can either empower or undermine them, their working conditions affect not only their wellbeing, but also the quality of care they can deliver. This research, funded by the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research (NIHR) identifies the conditions in which women GPs can thrive at work to better recruit, support, and retain them.

Open booklet titled 'Identifying conditions for women GPs to thrive in General Practice: A guide to informing culture' with an illustration of diverse healthcare professionals in a heart shape on the cover and an action checklist visible inside.
